XE-database

For 11g SOA Suite the supported version of database is

Oracle XE 10.2.0.1

Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4+

Oracle 11g+

I am installing Oracle XE 10.2.0.1

Install XE database 10201

Download the xe database version 10201 and just click on OracleXEUniv.exe



it will automatically lead to this window.



Accept the licence and say next



Choose the destination folder location,Ensure you have the required space.



Provide the password for it



Then say install



So it will start prepairing the database



so its done

Say finish.



next step is to create the schema in the database.

AS we have irca in 10g series we have rcu script in 11g which basically create the schema for SOA Suite and BAM.

With 11g the whole architecture is different we will have a look in the same once we will install the SOA Suite 11g.

11g onwards we do not have separate BPEL/ESB console.

We have em console and all the bpel/esb are designed in a single platform which is termed as composite.We wil discuss these things later.

I tried running the script in xe but it says the version is not supported not able to figure it out so i will install 11g database.

The supported version is (11.1.0.7.0)
