Profile Management in B2B

Log in to the B2B console .NAvigate to the upper right corner and select partners.

Now in the left hand side click the edit button and change the name of the trading partner.In my case i m giving the name of the trading partner as Arpit.



So after doing the change save it and you will get a screen like this



Now we will define the trading partner profile ,the trading partner profile helps in uniquely identifying each partner.

Now select the + sign at the top right of the identifier window and add three properties.

These properties are required to uniquely identify the profile of the trading partner.

Here we will select three properties in the three tags added.
they are


EDI INterchange ID,EDI Interchange Id Qualifier and EDI Group ID

I am assigning the value Arpit to EDI Group ID and EDI INterchange ID

for EDI Interchange Id Qualifier i am assigning value AR.

These information are of importance that these valus should be unique for this trading partner.You can have your own name and qualifiers.Again the use of these properties can be much understood by knowing the EDI document type.But for our case we will use it with three parameters.

Once done just say save and your settings should be appearing like this





So you are done with the profile of the host trading partner,Now we will create a profile for the remote trading partner.

Just go to partner page and click on the + sigh in the left most top .

You will get an option to create a trading partner.Provide name to your trading partner and save.




so your B2B should now contain two trading partners one is host trading partner and other is remote trading partner.In my case Arpit is the host trading partner and Ankit is the remote trading partner.





NOw select the trading partner link Ankit and click on the sign in the right top side of identifier window.YOu again need to provide the same three identifier as you have defined for your host trading partner.However only one value will remain the same ,i.e. EDI Interchange ID Qualifier.

the other two values i will specify as Ankit.The values will be thus as shown




Now assign the document to the remote Trading partner


For the trading Partner select the document tab and there in click the + button on the right most top of document window to bring up the select document definition




Now select the document definition that you have create to get added in the document for trading partner.We are checking here to EDI so we will add both the 850 and 997 doc definiton to our document type.Just select the defintion type and say add.So after addin both the document your document list should appear like





Here there is one important point to consider that we have select the receiver and sender for both the trading partner because it will be a two way transaction.In case if it was the case that Arpit is a sender and Ankit is a receiver then we would have selected sender for Arpit and receiver for Ankit.

Now we will craete the delivery channel for the for the remote trading partner

The delivery channel will be used by the B2B engine to send message to the remote trading partner.


Select the partner tab from right most top and choose the Ankit profile(Remote trading partner).

Now select the channel tab and click on the + button in the right most top of channel window.Let the channel name be Ankit_Channel and select the protocol as http.

Now in the channel details provide the following url

http://:7001/b2b/httpReceiver

This is a default listnere port for B2B.

Just specify the ip of the remote host and save the configuration.
