Business Rules-Decision tables in SOA Suite

The designing to process is very much like for the rules as discussed in the previous two posts

Now in this exercise we will see how to work with decision table what are the common mistake that occurs while creating a decision table.

My process is very much like the previous two post however in this case i will use decision table instead of rule set ,so i will discuss only the decision table.


So instead of rule set click on decision table.




Now i have created a decision table

it has following rules

if the input is ankit output is dog
if the input in arpit output is dog
For any other input the output in cat.

Please note that in case of rule2 i have not selected the check box.

My parameters are parameterized




Now we will deploy this process and check with the different input parameters and try to analyse it.

When i tested

My instance got faulted and i got following error in my instance

Non Recoverable System Fault :

0Fact not found in the rule engine working memory, rule session execution failed. The rule session 170016 failed because an instance of the fact com.oracle.xmlns.faulthandling_jws.rules.bpelprocess.ProcessResponse could not be found in the working memory of the rule session. This is most likely a rule modeling error. The decision service interaction expects the fact instance to exist in the working memory of the rule session. Check the rule actions in rule designer and make sure that a fact of the expected type is being asserted. If the error persists, contact Oracle Support Services.



This happened because in the action we have not selected the check button as i have indiccated in the diagram.In order to overcome this issue just chek the box and redeploy the process and you are good to go.
