OID - Oracle Internet Directory
DIP - Directory Integration Platform
OVD - Oracle Virtual Directory
OIF - Oracle Identity Federation
Don't have much idea about DIP and OIF but in 10g OID and OVD were two different product
But in 11g all has been combined.
In this post i will post the screenshots of intalling OIM the issue i have faced during installation
and what i did to solve it.
Software required
Weblogic 10.3.2(installed)
Database 10.2.0.4+ i am using 11.1.1.0.7(installed)
OIM 11.1.1.2
Download the product from the OTN
double click on .exe
Provide the weblogic home location
Please be careful in this step
This is the screenshot of the installation when i was getting issue i have selected the second option also to install OIF which i don't need,later when i deselected this i was able to install oim successfully i am just adding it here to give you and idea what possible error you can get and how you can resolve that.
and this is the place where i was getting the issue
You can resolve this issue by manually starting the enterprise server agent from command console and then this installation will go fine.
However my requirement was not OIf so did my installation again and this i time i didn't choose oif
and my installation was successful
