Hello World Project in SOA Suite 12C

Once you have installed Oracle SOA Suite 12c lets use it to create a simple hello world process.


Click on file new and create a new SOA Application



Create a HelloWorldApplication



Create a project



Create a composite with BPEL process



Create a synchronous process



Once the default BPEL process is created drag and drop an assign activity and map the input to output parameter.




Right Click on Hello World and Say deploy

In the Deployment Action page

Select Deploy to Application Server in the GUI thus openend. Say next

In the Deploy configuration page

Let the default options be there

In the Select Server page

Create a new connection to the existing soa server and deploy it to server 12c.

Once you have successfully deployed the code to the soa server log into the em console and click on test button to test the web service that you have created.



Again you can find that some new changes in the test screen also as seen below. Pass some dummy value and test the service



And validate the response




Now there are few things that one should notice in the Jdeveloper while designing any new process that some extra artifacts gets created in the Jdeveloper for the same BPEL project.

The first one is POM.xml



POM stands for Project Object Model and is an XML presentation of the Maven project.Maven is a software project management and comprehension tool and it can manage project's build, reporting and documentation from a central point. You can get more details on Maven from the following URL
