Installing OracleAS Integration B2B

we need to have two components

1.Oracle Application Server middle tier-which is J2EE and Web Cache installation type of Oracle Application Server .the B2B is installed on top of that

and another is

2.Oracle Application Server Metadata Repository

Here the b2b schemas are stored.

we can go for two option either we can install b2b with metadata repository or we can have a separate database for the b2b schema.

We will go with the first option that is installing metadata repository for the B2B

first of all you need to download the application server version 101202 from oracle link

download as per your platform.

It is very hard to post all the screenshots as it is a very lon process.

I will just summarise the things which we need to perform.

Install 10.1.2.0.2 -Infra
Install 10.1.2.0.2 -MId
Install 10.1.2.0.2 -bpel(need to alter orabpel schema)
Install 10.1.2.0.2- b2b (need to alter b2b schema)
upgrade db 10.1.0.4 to 10.1.0.5(infra mid both should be down at that time)
(post script need to run catpatch.sql and ultrp.sql)
software upgrade for mid and infra to 10.1.2.3
metadatarepository upgrade infra to 10.1.2.3
apply latesh MLR on mid

I will also upload the screen shot so that it can be used for reference.

Hi,

Thanks for the great articles posted on this blog. It has been very helpful.
Question:
Is this procedure for configuring the OAS still valid in 11g suite as you had a diff post mentioning that in 11g we do not need as it comes as part of the SOA_Server suite.

Thank You
Venkat

You are right, Now with 11g b2b is a part of SOA so all these scripts are ir relevant in 11g onwards.

Infact 10g is no longer supported , if you are going ahead with a new install better go with the latest 11.1.1.7 or 12c
